LineCall for Android

Privacy Policy

Effective 24 September 2026 · Last updated 24 September 2026

LineCall is a photo-finish and race-timing app. This policy explains what happens to race data on your device and what limited information is sent to service providers.

In short: Camera recordings and race results are processed and kept in the app on your device. LineCall does not upload your race photos or recordings to an app-operated server. Google Play and Superwall support purchases and app analytics; Android backup or device transfer may copy app data if enabled on your device.

Who is responsible

LineCall (Android package com.wwandre.linecall) is published by André Ferreira in Portugal. For privacy questions or requests, email contact@wwandre.com. LineCall does not require you to create an account with us.

Data we handle and why

  • Camera and race files. With your permission, LineCall uses the camera to record a finish and generate images, marks, timings, and race details. Processing takes place on your device. The app stores your races in its private storage so you can review them. A temporary recording may be created during processing and is designed to be removed when processing completes.
  • Exports and sharing. When you choose Save or Share, the resulting image is saved to your device or passed to the app you select. That destination then handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • App operation and preferences. LineCall stores settings, onboarding progress, and purchase-access state on your device to run the app and remember your choices. The camera permission is needed for capture; the app can show existing races without camera access.
  • Purchases and paywalls. Google Play processes in-app purchases and payment information. LineCall and its paywall provider, Superwall, receive purchase or entitlement information needed to show offers, unlock paid features, and restore access. We do not receive your full card number.
  • Usage and device information. Superwall's Android SDK may receive a persistent, randomly generated app user identifier, app/session and paywall events, purchase events, app and device attributes (such as app version, operating-system version, device model, and locale), and onboarding events. LineCall also sends selected onboarding choices, screen and step names, a coarse device-performance band, and generated journey/event identifiers to understand the onboarding funnel and improve the app. These events are not intended to contain race images or recordings.

We use these categories to provide the app, handle purchases and support requests, understand app performance and onboarding, and maintain security. Where EU data-protection law applies, the relevant bases are performance of our agreement with you for app and purchase functions, our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving the app for operational analytics, and compliance with legal obligations where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.

Who may receive data

We use Superwall for paywalls, entitlement management, and related analytics, and Google for Play billing and Android platform services. Their handling of information is also governed by their own notices. If you enable Android backup or device transfer, Android may copy app data, potentially including race files, according to your device and Google backup settings. We do not operate a separate cloud-sync service for your races.

We do not sell your race images or recordings. We may disclose information if legally required. The providers above may process information outside Portugal or the European Economic Area under their applicable transfer safeguards.

How long data is kept and how to delete it

  • Recent races are scheduled to expire 48 hours after completion. The app removes expired recent races when it next loads the race list. You can save a race to keep it longer.
  • Saved races remain in the app until you delete them or remove the app's data. You can delete races from the Races screen. Clearing app data or uninstalling usually removes local app files, but previously exported copies and any device backups may remain elsewhere and must be managed separately.
  • Analytics and purchase records are retained by Superwall and Google according to their service settings and legal requirements. To ask us to locate or erase information associated with your anonymous LineCall identifier, contact us. We may need that identifier and enough detail to verify the request; some purchase or tax records may have to be retained by the relevant provider.
  • Support emails are kept as needed to answer you and maintain a reasonable record of the request, then deleted when no longer needed.

Your choices and rights

You can deny or revoke camera permission in Android settings, delete races in the app, manage exports and backups on your device, and contact us about your personal data. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and receive a copy of applicable data. Email contact@wwandre.com to make a request. If you are in the EU, you may also complain to your local supervisory authority; in Portugal, this is the CNPD.

LineCall is not designed for children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, please contact us.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app or our providers change. The current version will remain available at this URL with an updated date. For questions, contact André Ferreira at contact@wwandre.com.
